Compassionate Service: Eight United Nations 2015 Millennium Goals
The United Nations has created “Eight UN Millennium Initiatives” to be accomplished by 2015:
Goal 1: Erradicate extreme poverty and hunger
Goal 2: Achieve universal primary education
Goal 3: Promote gender equality and empower women
Goal 4: Reduce child mortality
Goal 5: Improve maternal health
Goal 6: Combat HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases
Goal 7: Insure environmental sustainability
Goal 8: Develop a Global Partnership for Development
Monthly Practice:

In the month of August, take an action or provide compassionate service for each one of these initiatives.

Inform others of these initiatives or organize a group that will actively support and work on these initiatives to help accomplish them by 2015. Notice which ones you have already been supporting.
