Gaddi Women Self-Help Society; India
The Gaddi Women Self-Help Society teaches poor Gaddi Women and their families how to make and sell food products, how a cooperative society works, and proper animal husbandry techniques. Its aim is to bring about the economic and educational "upliftment" of Gaddi villages. It hopes to suggest alternative models for self-empowerment for women and girls. Funds will be used for a permanent library building, books and periodicals, and multumedia equipment.
