Reflection for December 2001

We join spokes together in a wheel,
but it is the center hole
that makes the wagon move.

We shape clay into a pot,
but it is the emptiness inside
that holds whatever we want.

We hammer wood for a house,
but it is the inner space
that make it livable.

We work with being,
but non-being is what we use.

Holiday Practices:

	Extend an act of generosity and loving kindness toward someone everyday.
	Holiday means "holy day" - Take 15 minutes each day to connect with the sacred in your life.
	Take an action each day that alleviates suffering in the world. "Bring light into darkness".
	Face what or who is in front of you without making it right or wrong; good or bad; positive or negative.
